Update: On the 21st October 2013, SOMA was Registered as a Housing Co-Op Limited by Guarantee with the new Registrar the FCA*. SOMA was a project originally conceived and developed by Oxford PC Solutions CIC. The project has evolved over a number of years and SOMA has finally become an independent organisation. Data collected for the Housing Co-Operatives purposes will only be used for these purposes.

*FCA (Financial Conduct Authority). This new body replaces the FSA (Financial Services Authority) and the Registrar of Industrial and Provident Societies as the registering and the governing body for Co-Operatives. The Registrar for Industrial and Provident Societies no longer has a regulatory role over co-ops as the FCA now carries out the regulatory functions formally attended to by the IPS Registrar.
